8th June 2024 - The 3 HillTop Lodges, The Prince of Wales, Chipping Campden and Sudeley Castle Lodges where delighted to host the Edward Jenner demonstration team as they presented The Making of a Mason in the Georgian Period.
In front of a packed Lodge room the team, appropriately dressed in period custom, transported the audience back 220 years and conducted an initiation ceremony with great skill and humor.
The scene for the initiation was set in a Public house around the year 1800 and was recreated in full character.
The 3 Worshipful Masters of the HillTop Lodges congratulate the Demonstration prior to the festive board.
The festive board was full of HillTop fun and laughter as the Brethren tucked into sausage and mash, old friendships where renewed and fraternal bonds strengthened.
The Prince of Wales Lodge presented a cheque for £250.00 towards the Edward Jenner Trust and the raffle money raised at the festive board was a further £220 which was presented to the Demonstration Team which they will use as an early deposit for the Gloucestershire Festival Appeal 2029.
Another fantastic evening with the HillTop Lodges - and a hearty thank you to the Edward Jenner demonstration team.
