For the collective strength of the Hilltop lodges to be effective it is important that each lodge retains their individual identity which ensures, as a group, we stay coordinated and focused on our group aim, to cement our reputation as a force for good in our local community and society at large and as a thriving organisation that people aspire to join.
This individual focus was in full force when on one weekend Sudeley Castle held their fraternal quiz night with The Manor of Ashley Lodge in Cheltenham (Friday night), The Prince of Wales Lodge held a Lads Vs Lassies skittles night in Guiting Power (Saturday night) and Chipping Campden Lodge also held a quiz night in Campden (Friday night).

The HillTop Lodges know that successful Lodges engage with all of their members and one such way is to organise social events to ensure that our families are involved. A Lodge that is family friendly is much more likely to find that its members families give more support to Freemason involvement. Well done to all 3 Lodges and your leadership teams for organising such successful evenings – all of which raised valuable funds for respective Charity chests.

At the Sudeley Castle and Manor of Ashley quiz night, both of the Worshipful Masters presented an engraved tankard from both Lodges to W Bro Maitland Cook as a token of respect and thanks for all his support and enthusiasm over many years in Freemasonry. Unfortunately Maitland can’t attend the regular meetings as he is unable to ascend stairs.
