On Tuesday 4th February our WM Malcolm went to visit the Royal Lebanon Lodge No. 493 in Gloucester with WBro. Brian, our current active Provincial Officer - and witnessed an excellent Second Degree performed by WBro. Matty Brown and his officers.
Matty led his team from the front, giving an exemplary display of how it should be done! It was obvious that he had put a lot of time and effort into his role, making the difficult appear easy.
Our WM commented on how welcome he was made to feel by all the Brethren and even came away with an excellent raffle prize, which was made even more special as he and Matty had just swapped raffle tickets! Matty wasn’t to be outdone though, as he himself then recouped his loss with a win. The festive board was full of great cheer with everyone thoroughly enjoying the occasion.
WBro. Matty came to visit the Prince of Wales later that same week with some of his flock to see our own WM perform the same ceremony. It was great to see them there and a rambunctious time was had by all!
It is always a great honour to attend such great lodges, especially when the level of effort is made to make it a special night for the candidate and the attention to detail is exemplary. Well done Matty, we shall see you again - and very well done to our WM Malcolm and Brian for representing The Prince Of Wales Lodge 951 around the Province.
