Saturday 19th July 2025 saw the annual Inter Province Regatta held at Gloucester Rowing Club. A great day of fun and friendly rivalry was had by all as rowing teams from five Masonic Provinces gathered to compete—Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Monmouthshire, and hosts Gloucestershire—plus a special guest crew led by Past Deputy Grand Master Sir David Wootton!
The Prince of Wales Lodge 951 were delighted to be able to present the W. Bro Simon Moore Memorial Shield at the regatta. Simon was a much loved member of our Lodge and he was also an extremely accomplished rower and a proud member of Remigium Lodge 7345 'The Rowing Lodge' meeting in Ealing West London. Simon recently passed to the Grand Lodge above and in honour of his memory The Prince of Wales Lodge created his Memorial Shield that will be battled for at the annual Inter Province Regatta.
The Past Deputy Grand Master Sir David Wootton awarded the Shield to The Argonauts Lodge assisted by our Provincial Grand Master Ian Davis. The Argonauts will look after the shield until next year when, we are sure, Remigium will fight hard to take it off their hands.
