March 2025 has seen another busy period for Stow on the Wold Freemasons. Our Charitable giving was front and center as our Charity Steward Alan B Page travelled to  Hereford to present a cheque for £1,400 to The Little Princess Trust.  2025 marks the 20th Anniversary of The Little Princess Trust whos aim is to provides free real hair wigs to children and young people up to the age of 24, who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions. They also fund childhood cancer research searching to find kinder and more effective treatments.

Next, Alan and our WM Malcolm visited Northleach Playgroup where they met Lucy Harrison the manager, and presented Lucy a cheque for £1000.00 Lucy said the group was facing possible closure and our cheque ensures that they can stay open for many more months to come, at least. The aim of the play group is to provide a safe, caring, welcoming and happy environment where children can advance their social and intellectual skills and develop their physical dexterity through play and the use of equipment and activities provided. The group provides a wide range of activities as well as free play throughout the session. All children are welcome irrespective of ethnicity, culture, religion, home language, family background, learning difficulties or disabilities and are given the opportunity to experience all the fun and learning the Playgroup offers!

Then it was onto Stow Primary School where Malcolm and Alan presented two cheques, £650 from Remigium Lodge No 7343 where Alan is into his second year as WM, and The Prince of Wales Lodge ‘topped’ that up with a cheque for £350 totalling  £1000. Mrs Scutt the headmistress thanked us again for the support that Prince of Wales has given them and reported that the breakfast club refrigerator that we gave them last year is working perfectly and ideal for them.

Our week finished off in style as the HillTop Lodges came together to celebrate an evening with our Family and Friends at The Manor House Hotel in Moreton on the Marsh.  It was another wonderful night of great food, fantastic company, laughter and some dodgy dance moves!  Congratulations to Jason Cyphus WM of Sudeley Castle Lodge for leading from the front to organise the evening.

As you have read, it has been another busy week as we continue to support our local communities.  Well done to our first rate Charity Steward Alan B Page as he continues to drive our charitable activities, ably supported by our WM Malcolm.  We proudly continue to strengthen our Freemason ties with Sudeley Castle and Chipping Campden Lodges as we develop the HillTop Lodge project.  Thank you all for your support.
