Over 80 Freemasons with family and friends descended upon Tushbrooke Farm Shipton-on-Stour for a wonderful BBQ. Giles and Jenny where once again magnificent hosts, and they slaved over the hot grill to make sure all bellies where full.
There were lots of activities on hand at the event - W. Bro Steve Faulkner brought along his special ‘armoury’ of perfectly safe guns including muskets, and not forgetting the incredible potato firing gun! There was archery and .22 rim fire ranges also set up. Giles introduced 'Welly Wanging'! and we had 'guessing the attitude of an Alpaca' Yes, I do mean attitude? as well as guessing the weight of the sheep.
Congratulations to Bro Faulkner jnr for winning the Welly Wanging
Ellie presenting the winning prize for 'Guess the weight of the sheep'
Very well done to our Charity Steward W. Bro Alan Bridgen Page for working so hard with Jenny, Giles and team to organise the event. Alan is extremely proud to announce that we raised a total of £1,105.00 for our benevolent fund combined with a raffle, the proceeds for Ride 25 (a HillTop cycle ride to the battle fields of northern France September 2025).
It was a great to see so many family and friends enjoy the BBQ, and to sit and relax in the sun and enjoy the magnificent views across the Warwickshire countryside.
If you want to get ahead, get a hat!!
All in all, a tremendous day that certainly lived up to the billing - THE BBQ EVENT OF THE YEAR! Once again a massive THANK YOU to Jenny and Giles and to Alan - you are the Premier Team and we are super proud of you all.
