One particular donation that is very close to our hearts is our most recent donation from The Prince of Wales Freemasons Stow on the Wold.. Their very generous cheque was presented to our club at one of our U13’s games on Sunday.
This cheque has been specifically given to help those children and their families affected most by the living crisis we are currently in. With their generous donation they have made it possible for a number of children to be part of our football club on a “no fee basis”.
Being able to offer this to many families and children is truly wonderful! With weekday training, weekend games, social events and summer tournaments we have seen first-hand that out of school sport really does make a huge impact on a young player’s wellbeing.
All our managers, coaches and volunteers are fully DBS checked, hold up to date Child Protection Certificates and are all trained up to a minimum of FA Level 1 Certificate or equivalent in Football training and are fully first aid qualified, so parents can rest assured that their children are in safe hands while training and competing with Bourton Rovers.
So, on behalf of all of us at Bourton Rovers Youth, a massive thank you for your kind donation. The impact it will have on many young players mental & physical wellbeing will leave a long-lasting impression they will take with them throughout their Grassroots journey within youth football.
